So, finally I have an avatar...from my old guitar. Well, not that old, but I built it in 1996. For those inclined...Telecaster shape, humbucker pickups coil tapped, Brazilian mahogany body, book-matched flamed maple top, rock maple neck...sounds great (and very photogenic also). And she has the same name as me ... Vicareyus!

Vic, can you come around and do all the cabinet work in my house and for the rest of my life? Please? Don't know anything about giutars but the workmanship is great :D

And you're using your old 70-300 as a bottleneck slide on it, right? :)

Well done, Vic.

Good looking axe mate " & image!!!"

I love the sunburst color scheme on guitars, I always wonted a Les Paul but never found the money in time before giving up playing in bands & a family came along :?

Cheers
Ray :P

Thanks all. This guitar plays beautifully and is only limited by the player. Can sound Strat like (especially when front pickup on single coil) or Les Paul like (humbuckers on). Best played through a tube amp of course. I like lots of sustain as I try to replicate that "Larry Carlton" sound (so like jazz/blues sound).

Nice guitar Vic, very impressive.

I made an ashtray once in woodwork back in 1968, and from that experience, I can't even imagine how someone can make something like the ViCareyus 1

:)

Lovely work Vic - my only experience of woodwork was to build a kitchen and the next day have a tradesman come in and do it properly (I was married at the time!!)

Lovely work. Must be extra special making sounds with something you created yourself. And good photos too!!
