The Fisherman, the Butcher, the Miner and what the?

We have an influx of a bird at the moment very noisy (but pleasantly so) and there are 100s of them around at the moment.

Grabbed the camera and 80-400VR (thanks OP) and on the way to photograph them came across these

looks like a Noisy Friarbird according to my field guide, but IANAO :D

Nice set of bird shots and good to see the 80-400 VR getting a working out!

we have butcher birds in the tree across the road [well we did]
Was funny watching people get attacked by the birds around september every year :D

the butcher is my favourite shot here.
pose shows it off very well.
