Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread. Have images - will postIn the spirit of 'lurkers' everywhere making a more visible contribution to the forum - I offer up my first image posts for your kind consideration. Be gentle!

Very nice leigh999 - I like the shade of blue in the 2nd one, that's caused by the corrigated roof and probably the weather, it has a kinda eery feel about it. Did you do any post processing to either of these? The first image is nice too Well done and keep on posting! Geoff.
Welcome leigh999 (aka Rebecca) very nice to have another lady on the forum.
I like both of your shots - but in particular the cats whiskers. That is one healthy cat. I hope you enjoy a long and fruitful association with this forum Chris Chris

Beaut pixThe thing I like about both of these pix is that they show:
Someone who is interested in making a photograph, not just taking one. Someone who thinks outside the square. That imagination is more important than technical know-how. I love it. Keep it up.
leigh999 (aka Rebecca),
As a cat person, I enjoyed the first shot. Such detail, and how on earth did you get the cat to stay there as they have a mind and will of their own (attitude) Cheers, fozzie
When people ask what equipment I use - I tell them my eyes.
Thank you for your comments -
Strange thing about the corrugated roof shot is that the original was a very low contrast flat grey but when I tweaked the levels, specifically bring the black point down, this amazing cold blue appeared from nowhere. Other than that curves and sharpening. As to the cat, I was trying to do some indoor set-up shots but he wanted some attention so came and sat in the middle of it all. I thought why fight it and took some pics of him instead Thanks again -
I love Kitty Whiskers, fantastic shot.
I am not quite so excited by the other one, but it does have a very interesting quality. Looking forward to seeing more of your work Greg - - - - D200 etc
