Or should that be San Diego?

I done good in choosing my hotel; it's right on the harbour, just across the road from it, actually, with several marina and see-going touristy types of business there.

I went for a walk down there, armed with the D70, 24-120VR + monopod. The sunsets early, and I needed to bump my ISO to 1600 to grab some of these.

I used some fill flash to brighten what otherwise would have been the seadulls.

Nice Gary - but don’t fall into being the same as the boat name in DSC6008.

Reminds me of a TV program many years ago called ”Have Gun Will Travel” - now it’s ”Have D70 Will Travel”

Great shots, Gary. Wonder if the Channel Islands realise that they are part of the USA now? :)

These ones do; they're a group of islands off the south Californian coast.

Like the effect of high ISO. 6052 (and others) captures the movement of the bird so well, especially at the wingtips. Thanks Gary.
