Hi Matt. Great shots all of them. I think you could make the first shot even better by cloning over the table, perhaps with the background on the lefthand side, so it becomes more focussed on the lion - more portrait like.
I love my lions.
What lens was used to capture these majestic animals?
Cheers,
Owen.

Hi Matt,
these are lovely shots. The first one and the second one are absolute favourites, but I like all of them. Beautiful animals.

I love each and every one of these, but my pick is #1. The vignetting effect and the strong composition work well at bringing out the majesty of the king of the jungle. I even like the low sat, less pop, "old school" look for these which work well with the subject matter.

I'm with Owen - first one is awesome !!!!! And with the table missing - wow ! I love the background in the shot - I realise that it is 'man made' but the colouration and 'strippling' effect makes me think of darkest Africa

Matt,
Great shots. The 1st is my fav with the strong compostion.
Not sure if it is just my monitor but there seems to be a strong green cast in all these shots.... was it intentional?
Cheers,

You may be right. I think the camera may have picked up a touch of green from shooting through the glass. It's a little more pronounced on my work computer than my home computer.

Great series of photos Matt. That first image in particular is just outstanding.

Nice work on Jambo (aka Bruiser to his keepers). The young lion is his son and I guess he, and his sister, will be taken to Dubbo when the enclosure gets too small for four big cats.
I have a nice shot of the family when the cubs were very young.
Cheers
Sheila

These are all great! Even the one taken at "Tarong Park Zoo".

I can see a slight green colour cast, but I love the PP treatment.
