i'm glad the glass was there, but didn't help the sharpness of the pic
this pic "had" potential but i stuffed it up
i hope next time to get there at feeding time

G'day,
Wow, the second shot of (your?) boy with the deer(?) is a fantastic catch... You could try Focus Magic to sharpen the subject movement, I've seen some great stuff done by other users with that application... Not sure but the demo version may restrict you to jpeg tho (as in no tiff, can't remember)...
The third shot is great, makes me think of Kimba (the white lion)... Very nice, sharp and detailed, great expression on the beast... Seems to have his eye on something...
Cheers,
Mudder

Hi robw25
Glass is always a problem - did you auto focus or manual? Manual focus is best in this kind of shot. The young boy and deer is, excuse the pun, endearing.
Your last shot shows the contentment of an animal well saited.

Hi Rob,
I like image two - it has a real 50's feel to it, almost a Kodachrome 25 look - did you try for this? Forget the slight focussing "issue", the shot works!
Cheers

The last image is great......looks like he/she was licking its paw when something caught its attention.....great timing.
The snake, good lord thoses things leave me cold......even behind glass it still made me shiver.

thanks for the replies guys, in all the shots i took ( about 200 ) i only tried to get a decent focus on them, some looked good on the lcd but get them on the computer at home and some of them were dissapointing in sharpness, but i was happy with my visit to the zoo
cheers rob
