The second is lovely I'm sure you happy with the result.
The third and fourth! I hate you, I was there for both of these and tried to take similar with my D70 and 80-200 , the equipment and skill of the operator shine with these shots as they blow mine away in every way.
The icecream is a classic, you can't even tell it was low light!
And here's looking at you, got to credit you minimum trace of the harsh lighting that this shot was displaying on the D70. Masterful stuff!

. The bridge is well taken and presented, but it's a fairly standard photo. The candids are somewhat interesting moments, but overall they don't really work for me. Maybe some more post processing might bring them up a notch. However I find telephoto candid's rarely work (to my eye) since they are so detached. Getting in close with a wide angle usually provides stronger images - although that does create other challenges..

However my pic is a tossup between the old bloke and the bridge thing.
The old bloke is just a nice clean image, and having eye contact makes the shot.
As for the bridge, I'm always impressed by city night shots, maybe cause town only has 4 street lights and no traffic lights.

I don't mind #1. I have some similar shots of that little window except coming from the side...(great minds) Very Happy
#2 is postcard perfect - nicely done
I must admit to #3 not doing a whole lot for me, but
#4 is great, and I agree with Matt, the eye contact, along with with the lovely afternoon light make it work.

#1 - an interesting take on the Hornby Lighthouse that works really well for me - largely because of the crown you've got at the end of the line that leads the eye to the top
#2 - great shot of two Sydney icons. Well exposed, great colours and fantastic composition.
#3 - WOnderful candid (I'd probably clone the dark OOF top left)
#4 - Only one here that doesn't grab me. I don't find the subject interesting enough and the composition doesn't help since the background is quite bland.
