Hi all,
I thought it might be a fun idea to post photos of your pets/animals if you have any? This is not a particularly technically great photo but one I like and took yesterday, it's of my dog Jessie who lives with my parents. Taken with the 50mm 1.4 lens.

Here is my mate. He is a Cardigan Corgi, which are bigger than and more placid than the Pembroke Corgis (which a well known person in the UK has). His name is Bleddyn, who was a Welsh prince.

Great close-up shot of your cat dimmo, next time - can I suggest to try focusing on the eyes as it gives a much better impact - as in this case the nose is super sharp, but the eyes are OOF.

I have learnt the importance of the eyes from reading a lot of posts/critiques on this forum, however, I think that this was my 1st (or perhaps 2nd) pic from the d70.

We have two Russian Blue cats named Will and Grace. These are not my favourite shots but they're the best I have on my work laptop (yes - "working" on a Sunday).

Funny you should start this thread now, I've just done some photos of my next door neighbour's new pet (the little brown one, the white one is mine.

Same here, I was taking some family snaps tonight and got this one of my girlfriends parents dog, Kody, in a pretty standard sooky pose .

Remember the days when pure bred were expensive and cross-bred were a dime a dozen? Well this little bundle of joy is a cross between a poodle and cavalier king charles spaniel and it cost my neighbour over $1k.
If only my dog wasn't desexed, I could have found the solution to my lens lust problem

Our Dog, Elle quite a handfull being a Staffy but xcellent with the kids.

But she doesn't seem to interested in me taking her pic.

I tried taking my cat to the Post Office but he kept breaking out of the wrapping and they wouldn't accept him for delivery anyway.

In-laws pet count? Not quite my pet, but a beautiful dog, if a little disconcerting to look in the eyes. Not a great pic, but a great shot, if that makes sense. The best shot I managed to take of the dog - named Happy, if the file name didn't give it away. Too much energy to be a good subject.



Not my D70, unfortunately - this was my first digital camera, a Fuji s5000 I bought that convinced myself I should have something better.

This was one of my first ever shots with my D70. That's my cousin with my mini dachshund "Hercules".

Some focus and exposure problems - G3 with Wide adaptor - but I like the shot anyway.

Ruby is 1 of the kittens from my cat Tippy, she is a loverly cat and well i didn't like cats for a long time till i got a mouse in the house and well no more mice around here.

Not my pet - I took this one in Manly last night, very wierd...

Love the shot of monty, stubbsy. I can soooo relate (to how monty was feeling at the time)...!!

Holy smokes flyer, my dog does the exact same poses. He's a Bijon Frises.

Cranks his head to the side when he wakes up and thinks he's going to get pet. When he's hanging out with a bunch of busy people and he doesn't know what to do he plunks his nose down and watches everyone without moving his head.
