Right on the Pacific coast, Mission Beach boasts a wooden roller coaster in a small amusement area. It seems to have been significatnly modernised since I was last there, much to (IMHO) the area's detriment.

Weather plus parking restrictions prevented me from grabbing some images of some of the residences here. Faded and weathered, but still colourful, they reminded me a little bit of a cross between Miami's South beach area, but infused with the surfing atmosphere one expects of Southern California.

The phone appears to have been attacked by a bloody Volvo driver.

The weather that day was abysmal - a perfect Melbourne day, in fact, so no bunnies. Just the odd gull.
