This is a pic of my grandaughter Paige blowing bubbles, taken with D2X and 300mm 2.8 af and (newly aquired) Tamron 1.4 teleconverter (and oh how i dream of a new 300mm 2.8 afs vr !)

Jpeg @ 400 iso 125 @ 5.6 handheld not pin sharp but as it was the first time i used the converter i am reasonably satisfied it will do the job.

Ordinarily, one would start by saying ”It’s blown to the left and dark on the right” but, with this pic, you have the absolutely marvellous offset of the bubbles.

The colour in the bubbles adds to this shot of Paige - I guess she enjoyed herself.

A lovely shot :)

Magic Paul. A beautifully captured snapshot of a carefree childhood.

Thanks for the responses, i am a lucky man, two grandaughters and a grandson,i could do nothing other than take pics of them and be happy ,my name is Norm by the way (where did Paul come from?) and i'm 54 yo , i got the name nikon boy, some years ago when i bought a Nikon F3 at a time when all my mates had Pentax's etc , i just love the digital age my grandson who is six can do powerpoint presentations on MY computer, and i am teaching all of them how to handle a camera, they can actually pic up the D2X (properly strapped around their necks etc) and look through the viewfinder and take a photo, framing the subject and hold the camera resonably still, yes it's a bit silly letting them use the D2X when a smaller body would make more sense but they want to use the one granpa uses and it makes them feel special and they listen and learn,
meanwhile i am learning CS2 and Capture 4 , if i can't change the world i might as well go along for the ride !!!
