Strewth the pano's of the harbour are excellent work... Terrific drama and texture in the sky detail, sharp as a tack and great color...

Light and mood in the first one are great.
Other two seem a tad dark?
But it is very hard to get the exposure right for the buildings / water without blowing the sky in this sort of light.

I was expected to see longer and wider 'pano'
They're really great shots Peter, I like very much the last one

Thanks for your comments people.
Nick - I think you are correct & may have another go at these and apply a grad ND to bring up the bottom of #1 & #2
Geoff - Yes I take bad pics. Just no one gets to see them

Stubbsy,
great images....my fave is the 3rd. The clouds somehow seem to remind me of the movie "Indepedance Day"
I agree, you are making great use of that D2X. I'm always impressed with the images you post....but perhaps you should post some of the one's you hide from us, so we all know you're human

I took on board Nick's comments about #2 and #3 above being too dark and have redone them. New versions below. Now I'm happy.
Edit: After feedback, images were revised a third time to reduce the blue & the colour saturation

Now the colours are bit too saturated on the blues?? Its nice touch on the tones, but too much blue for my taste...

Peter, great pics. However, the
Opera House (in the redone pics) looks a bit reddish-yellowish?
Fantastically sharp nonetheless.

Great pictures!

Stubbsy, I like the improvement you have done to the pictures. I guess you used a tripod to get that sharpness. They are so sharp and clear.
My impression of the first ones was you used too much polariser.

Stubbsy, the redone photos look much better than the first lot, however I would have to agree with Yi-P, they look a bit over done, too much blue for my tastes, which makes them look a bit "fake". The
Opera House one is my pick out of them

These were hand held while on a moving ferry with lot's of head wind. Shot at 1/1500 and 1/1600 sec respectively.
As you and others have noted they are a bit overpolarised. I've now replaced the updated images above with less blue, less saturated versions. Hopefully I've now finally got this right.

The OH pano is wonderful Peter - clean and crisp.
Great contrast between the lighting and clouds from the 1st to the third.
