Paris opera - at the matinee - paid mainly to get in to see the building, philistine that I am.

A great opportunity - we left early and the entire building was deserted...

This was a shot of the opera, just to prove I was there...

And my favourite...

Indeed, last one is best there :D

Do they actually allow you to take a DSLR into the play? Or you smuggled one in?

Wendell - Varekai was great - a fantastic show. I was looking for more acrobatics (not that I was disappointed) but I came to understand the Cirque de Soleil is a show, not just the acrobatics and soon settled into enjoying it - the finale was just amazing with the three-man see-saws. It's all very up close a very well laid out stage and everyone there is close to the action.

Yi-p - I had the DSLR around my neck the whole time - was not using the flash (not much point) so wasn't being particularly annoying.

We had the really, really cheap seats up in the gods - If I sat up straight, my head would hit the roof beams!

There were no signs that I recall against photography.
