Well,
I feel for you PALL. I guess the last thing you would want to hear now is gratuitous comments about a backup strategy:
I hope you have a suitable backup strategy in place this time??
Thankfully you are now back taking photographs and enjoying it. I love the moody pic you have posted here, and I hope we see more.
Keep up the good work.

wasnt a gratuitous comment about backups.
I believe myself and numerous others expressed sympathy at the time of the original failure.
I deal with people all the time who think it can not happen to them or similar reasoning.
whilst it is a bad thing to happen and everyone sympathises.
It is preventable.
Also the fact that it happened once doesnt mean that it cant again,
and
the lesson learned should be that backups save grief.

With respect, that is exactly what it was. Check the
dictionary.
And, just to make sure, you've repeated the dose!

fotofreak, Steve. I think the real lesson here is to use smilies since written communication can be easily misnterpreted
I think Steve was just providing a memory nudge rather than rubbing in salt

A great shot!

That is a great shot! So...did you loose all your photos and programs? I hope you had most photos saved in a DVD specially if they were as good as this one.
