Hi All,
Well I thought it was time I posted a picture up on the site. I have been lurking in the shadows for many months and trying to learn as much as I can off Killa Koala before we both move onto new jobs in the next few weeks.

This photo was taken at Cascades Waterfall located in Vanuatu. We pulled into Vanuatu on our way home from Hawaii.

The details for this photos are,
Nikon D70, 18 - 70mm F14, 1/4 sec exposure hand held. I shot in Raw and only had to slightly adjust the white balance. Nothing else was touched in the photo.

Any Comments are welcome. Thanks for having a look. Thanks for the great site, its given me plenty of inspiration.
Cheers
Steve

Steve, that is a beautiful spot. We were lucky enough to get a tour of the cascades on a "non-cruise" day, so it was relatively deserted and the water was amazingly clear.

Nice shot too, great work handholding!!!

I have some photos of it somewhere myself, though only with a small p&s digital.

Hi Losfp,
It was an interesting day with us as 4 or us went to have a look at the waterfall and took a wrong turn and ended up way above the waterfall out in the bush. We came across some locals that took us through the bush, through peoples vegi patches and backyards until we found the top of the waterfall.

It was really good to see some areas that tourists dont normally see.

Cheers
Steve

It is a very nice picture Ausyuppy and there is no much one can criticize. I like it because of the colours and blurriness of the water giving a sense of movement. This type of photos seems to be very fashionable nowadays.

Wow, hand-held for 1/4 second! Strewth, nerves of steel!... Mine would look like an abstract if I tried to hand-hold that long without IS (or VR or what-ever)

Nice peaceful image, I'm always a sucker for a nice waterfall shot, calming... Exposure looks spot-on too which is not easy with water highlights, well done...

Nerves of steel?

Andrew, maybe Steve has not seen yet as many wild parties.
