Hi Willy - sorry, but these don't look right in B&W. If you absolutely HAVE to have one, then I'd pick the second, and wouldn't do anything more with the sky. BUT they really need to be in colour!

Hi Steve,
quite a difficult topic to shoot. Grasstrees aren't that easy to photograph ![]() Well my experience tells me they aren't easy for me to capture ![]() I believe the 3 dimensionality of these ancient plants is very difficult to capture on film or digital. I did a few shots in Tidbinbilla and I hardly managed. The best shots were in perspective to the environment and background. Cheers, CD

Now, with the colour versions, I prefer the first one! Agree that these are bloody hard to get a decent shot of - at least one that does justice to the unique nature of these plants.
