Wasnt sure if i should lighten the sky or not?

Hi Willy - sorry, but these don't look right in B&W. If you absolutely HAVE to have one, then I'd pick the second, and wouldn't do anything more with the sky. BUT they really need to be in colour!

#1 I like in black and white but even more contrast if possible.. Number two doesn't do much for me I am afraid

Hi Steve,

quite a difficult topic to shoot.
Grasstrees aren't that easy to photograph :lol:
Well my experience tells me they aren't easy for me to capture :cry:
I believe the 3 dimensionality of these ancient plants is
very difficult to capture on film or digital.
I did a few shots in Tidbinbilla and I hardly managed.
The best shots were in perspective to the environment and background.

Now, with the colour versions, I prefer the first one! Agree that these are bloody hard to get a decent shot of - at least one that does justice to the unique nature of these plants.
