Hi guys,

I set myself a task of photographing a series of the opera house in new views and perspectives. I'm a newbie to Aus so its something I photograph every time I pass it but I wanted something different. Also the challenge 3 helped me pick the angles.

I would appreciate your comments on these.

OperaHouse/Opera-house-detail4.jpg" alt="Image" />

All images taken with the kit lens and all have the levels tweaked in PS.

Cheers

Technically and personally I could find no fault with these photos. What I will say is that I have lived with this object for the past 32 years and have not seen the angles that you have portrayed before - new eye - a new perspective - well done I like them :)

I like the fourth one... The geometric shapes of the tiles is ofset nicely by the organic shape of the cloud... very nice

Good eye

Refreshing angles and composition.
Unfortunately, a few of the pix have hot spots (hard to avoid, I know) which detract from them.

Like MHD #4 does it for me for pretty much the same reason. I'm amazed you can get that close with the kit lens. Is this a crop?

Thanks guys,

None of them have been cropped. As I say, the only enhancement has been with the levels.

#4 I was standing right next to it leaning on it looking up. My favourite is #5. If only there had been clouds in the scene it would have been a winner.

Thank you for your compliments on these. I'm going to use these then as the springboard for the "Different Perspective" challenge.

Cheers
Matt

when i say none of them have been cropped, by that I mean that they arent a smaller section from a larger perspective. they have been trimmed to get rid of some distractions.

Sorry dudes, not sure what's happened there. They are up again now.

I should have kept some of these back so that i could enter them into the challenge. But at least it makes you take more pictures which is what its all about.
