This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

The first one is nicely done. The reflection is just right.

Great shots Leigh. The second one is my favourite. Not sure whether it says despair, futility or just boredom or a late night!

Interesting series, I like them as a group telling a story. They seemed to be taken over quite a period, how long were you stalking this girl

About 2 hours maybe. Probably more like an hour and a half. She was sitting across from Matt, Sam and myself on the way back from Newcastle.

Shouldn't this be called "Stalker on a train"?

#4 and #1 for me in that order. I love the light and tone in #4 the best.

#2 & 3 the focus is off a bit which stops them competing with the other 2.

#1 is good, but really #4 is an amazing candid - you really captured the moment beautifully. It's tender & emotive, and I love it :). Great work Leigh.
So join in the chorus, and sing it one and all!

Personally I don't like sunnies in portraits because I love eyes , but I love #4, very kinda pensive.

Although there is a story in the series, I feel that #4 is the most self-contained.

A beautiful girl, on a train - where is she going, and why? What is she thinking?

I think this is an excellent "decisive moment", after the work of Cartier-Bresson.

I like it a lot.

I thought I'd post the colour original of #4, since a lot of people seem to like that one most.
