Did you shoot with a filter on? There seems to be a bit of glowing blue in the sky, but too much of an issue, overall, very clean.

Nah, no filters, except for my standard UV filter.

Very nice, my only nitpicking is the slightly overexposed neon signs in some areas of the image, they seem overly too bright...

Both great shots, I like #2 best.
Number 1 seems a bit dull (no fault of yours!!!), there are no cars, no life - that's Perth at night for ya

Yes, i found that impossible to avoid. I had a nice shot of the city and the narrows bridge that was probably ruined by the lights being too bright.

Is tehre any sort of filter that could stop this?

My way to avoid that would be to take the photograph earlier when the sky is a little brighter (and hoping that the lights are already on), then a shorter exposure than be used and the lights may not blow out. I suppose.

Which UV filter were you using? Perhaps try shooting without it at night
