Ok... I'll start by saying that I like the second shot... nice composition etc... pity about the reflection but probably hard to avoid. It has a nice desaturated feel to it that is set off nicely with the colourful dresses lining up and 'staring out' into the empty street.

The first shoot, I'm afraid does nothing for me... not sure what you were trying for here, and not sure that it worked.

Excellent white balance work. You've lined up the verticals nicely too, well done.

I definitely favour the second shot...


I'll reserve my comments to strictly technical aspects, as I lack any shred of creativity or artistic skills (as I've frustratingly discovered today attempting the current assignment)

Mj and Onyx - thanks for your replies.What I was trying here was hand held night time.

I agree that the second shot is my favourite too. I put the first one up to show the sharpness at 1/13th sec.
