Something a bit different

I took this photo over in Borneo. I wanted to try something a bit different. There must have been a recent shower (seems like so long ago!) as there are a few drops of water. I took this without a tripod using the 60mm macro lens. I like the colours but it may not be for everyone.

Nicole - I too love the colour in this photo. This is the type of photo that I love to play with - changing colours (although I love yellow), posterisation, inversion, pastel filters etc. If you have PS play around a little on a duplicate.

It's lovely Nicole. I like it - one dew of water in focus, the bokeh from the 60 macro seems good too. Maybe it's the yellow/green colour blend (are those two complementary colours?)

There is one in focus/sharp edge on the petal near the left edge. Maybe if you artificially blur that out with the rest of the flower, it'll have that uniform yellow to green blend. :) Great exposure, creamy smoothness, and off centre placement which I don't find offensive in this case.

Nicole, I like these type of pics. Yours is excellent. Love the rich yellow and the water droplets.
