This pic is a real dilemma for me. I like the colours, but don't like the shot as it stands. I think the problem is the foregound is too poorly defined. Can you perhaps lighten it up a little to anchor the sky better to the burning logs (fire in the sky, fire on the ground!)

Very impressive! And some nice PP work done on this. I would love to see a large print of this image because I think it would give the image more power. I love the fire and sky colours linking the image parts together and the only constructive comment I could make is that I feel the image would have been more complete with another subject element in the foreground near the fire...either left or righ in the grass. Something like a sleepng dog or a backpack or a couple of fishing rods. But that's a mute point because it is a lovely image and I enjoyed looking at it.

I would have preferred a little more foreground so you could see all the rocks forming the fire. Otherwise, I like it. Keep up the good work. What do they say, practice makes perfect.

Great colours John, the mood in this shot reminds me of that famous painting with the swagman.

Oneputt - it looks as if you've used an over aggresive contrast mask setting. I don't quite like the 'muddy' foreground and would perhaps like to see the original in which it lies in the shadows or was a silhouette against the sky.

The sky is awesome, very intense saturation.... perhaps overly so for realism, but I like the unreal.

Yep... I like this one... would like to see what it would look like with some slight toning down of the PP, whilst still leaving enough to keep it surreal.
A little more forground and maybe some other object/subject in the forground and this might have been a real piece of art.

Ilike both of them, but perhaps a little less detail in the foreground than in the first shot, and a little more than in the second. Also 2 or 3 steps to the left I feel would have made a difference. Would have offset the fire more to the right. and would have 'linked' the tree more to the sky. IMHo.

Perfect - love this - don't tinker anymore (and I know I said above I wanted to see more of the foreground. Can't a guy change his mind!)
