black on black....anyone wanna post your shots?

That is an interesting excersize. Hmmm, I'll have to keep my eyes open. I like the glare on the background black, and the old phone reciever. I remember those things when I was little. I wonder if there are any more out there?

They use to last forever it seemed. The new ones don't seem to be worth a damn for some reason.

flipfrog - I admire you for trying black-on-black. In the digital realm it is still very difficult to get true balck on black and it was (is) hard to do on film as well.

A lot of Hi-Fi brochures from around 10 years ago had black amps etc shot to black - Sony and Onkyo spring to mind. What I do know is that there was an immense amount of PP on the hi res scans to get the effect they wanted. One suggestion would be to shoot your telephone handset to white. If necessary airbrush in some white highlights and then deep etch to black - thats how they used to do it.
