Great catch there. How long did you have to chase that bugger to get him to hold still like that.
Excellent job getting it focused.
Was that on the kit lens?

I know how difficult it is - last night I spent about half an hour trying to do a macro of a stink bug - difficult position. Later realised it was dead anyway

I was using D70 + 80-200 f2.8 + TC1.4x + Ext. 25 + 250D Closeup filter.
Hover Fly hovers in mid air. Easy to catch if you go manual focus. The difficulty was in getting the magnification - handheld.

also is the image a re-size or an enlargement of the original?
