G'day,
I'm always apprehensive to critique as I don't feel skilled in that but the skin tones seem really natural to me, only thing that catches my eye is the lightness in the skin on her shoulder and chest in comparison to her arms... Dunno if that's from the flash?

Close match in the colors of car and dress shoulder trap too :-)

Cheers,
Mudder

Really i like the skin tones and the lighting seemed to have worked well with this shot as well, not that i know much about this stuff but the shot looks very good and i wouldn't change a thing.
Cheers
John

I think the light colour is her dress, but it is deceiving...

yeocsa - a lovely looking lady in a very nice pose but I tend to agree with mudder that the skin tonal differential between the chest and the right arm (real) is very different. Seeing as this was taken at f/8 on manual and at 80mm was the flash correctly set up?

Other than that minor critique it is a very keepable pic.

Cripes, you're not wrong! Yeah the colour of her dress is close enough to her skin colour that it looks a little weird to be honest, but it's possibly just that angle. Exposure looks good, maybe a tad less flash, as her face and hands seem a bit blown out compared to her arms/shoulder. The reflection off the leather is a pain too, but difficult to avoid. Hope that's not too harsh, it's a nice pic of a nice pose. :)

Her face looks perfect, she looks to be made from a fine porcelan (sic). What a wonderful pose and you've done a great job at capturing her beauty in a timeless fashion.

As others have said, the colour difference between the (is it the dress?) on her chest and her shoulder / arm is a bit too distracting.

Thanks!

Brett

Really, how is it her dress?

Mind you that is splitting hairs... my eye was not drawn towards her arm but her face.... lovely expression!

nice work!

Any trade secrets you wish to share? (posing techniques in particular :) )

Thanks for all the kind comments and feedbacks. I had used Nikon 80-200 f2.8 push pull. Manual exposure, spot reading on your face. Focal length was at 80mm. Flash was used. Skin tone is about right. The makeup on your face had resulted in over exposure on her body which is more fair. The Flash had made it worst which i had overlooked. The picture was taken under an overhead bridge as it was raining cats and dogs.

OK yeocsa... can you resolve a point of discussion please...

Was that a dress with very thin pink shoulder straps, or is that pink beading on a skin coloured dress... i.e. is the light colour in the upper chest region and over the shoulder overexposure on the skin, or is it the colour of the dress???

Not that i'm interested in fashion... I just want to know if my eyes are deceiving me

That can't be a skin toned dress on her upper chest... u can see her collar bone quite distinctly.. imo

Lovely shot, great skin tone on her face... Did you use any photoshop or is the picture pretty much straight from the camera?

No worries

The pink is the actual colour of what she is wearing. Of course, I did some photoshop stuff e.g USM. Some photographers believed that takin g the picture is 30%, touching up (darkroom of film) should take up 70% of the time. For me, touching up should take up only 15%.
