I know that there are things wrong with this image but I saw this bird coming and was lucky enough to be able to capture it. I thought that it rounded the image out.

Yeah, I was thinking this'd be the first in a series of D70 porn.. you know, like 4 D2h's in an orgy with a D70, or maybe some rape D70 porn.. a 300D being assaulted by a D70 with the 200-400 on the front...

Oneputt,
Nothing lucky about this shot, you were there at the right place at the right time.
Great shot.

That's a great image, that would look great in a frame on the wall... The bird adds nicely to the scene, well captured.
Cheers,
Mudder

This image is why I bought a split ND Cokin filter. I was tired of not compromising foreground detail for wicked cool sunsets. Great job and composition, I wish I could see some detail in the foreground though, nothing you can really do without a split ND filter. Great work.

Well done. Beautiful shot. What time of the day was the shot taken? Have you consider cropping out the grey clouds at the top?

Thanks for the nice comments guys. It was shot about 5.00am at Dickey Beach Caloundra. The wreck is the old SS Dickey from which the beach takes it's name.
