Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread. Another Blue Melbourne SkyFreshly taken at 9pm tonight. My first night shots with the D70. Next time i'll use the remote... it's a tad on the unsharp side, but still looks ok when it's small. Four images taken with Nikon 12-24mm on my home-made pano head.
Also took this one shortly after...much sharper. Alistair
I like the angle, place you shot from. I once tied up (on a ship) at the wharf on the far right of the image.
The funny thing with the first image that that strikes me is that the buildings are a bit unsharp (as you said) , but the refelction in the water just looks great.....interesting how the motion of the water can counteract the camera... In the second i can see where the seagulls where flying around the top of the main pylon. (I still can't understand why they built the pylons so high. It makes the bridge an ugly monstrosity. Perhaps it's a phallic response to Jeff Kennet's cheesesticks. The Vics will understand that one) Steve.
