Once again Chris, superb shots. Actually I prefer the first shot because of the composition. You have the scene ahead and the reflection from the front left external mirror.

It looked like a champion day.

Goodbye for now,

I really like the second shot...

Some shots I've seen from the wide angle lenses suggest some form of distortion in the image (barrel or pin-cushion or what-ever) but these look straight as a die to me... Wonder why? Wonder if it's just me :?

Cheers,
Mudder

Chris
#2 is a great shot. Shows what can be done even with Sigma glass :) Local word is that the observation tower in the photo is going to be demolished by the council for some reason. Did you go to the top - the view is great.

I agree with you about the barrel distortion not being evident. Some would say (Chris, Glen) that's because it's the Sigma 12-24. I have the Nikon, just in case this isn't obvious  and I find it takes similarly low to no distortion shots. Both are nice pieces of glass (obviously the Nikon is better :!: )

Thanks all for your comments.

Stubbsy - I was also told yesterday that they are thinking of terminating the rail at Broadmeadow.

It certainly is a lovely spot for an ale, food and, I have been told, great bands at night
