G'day,
What else do you expect from me, the animal nut huh? Haven't been out there for a while so went for a sticky nose...

Just uploaded a few that were fun, met the friendliest Ostrich ever, kept wanting a scratch on the back of his neck... When you'd scratch him, his eyes would glaze over with enjoyment...

Then the geese commandeered my camera bag! I had to gently coax (nudge) him off, and then they started following me nibbling at the bag straps and when I squatted down, they started nibbling at my shirt buttons! Was great fun :-)

Anyway, just a few for now...

Sounds like you had a good time. I think the first of the two ostrich shots is great and the one of the koala is a crack up!

great shots mudder - you are becoming an animal photographer par excellence - just one question and please excuse my ignorance but the ostrich looks very much like an emu to me - but then again I am no expert

You're probably right, I'm hopeless identifying species's's's, I always get these guys confused... Maybe I keep thinking of Ozzie Ostrich in Hey Hey it's Saturday... (hmmm, am I showing my age now?)

Ooh, cricket's back on soon!

Great pics.

Perhaps you should have let the goose take a photo or two, he seems interested enough.

Love the dingo. I'm glad that didn't get near you camera bag otherwise you'd be yelling, 'The dingo's got my baby, errrr camera.'

The koalas's expression is fantastic. I reckon you could sell that photo for millions of Yen.

And yes, it's an Emu, not an Ostrich. Have a look at the Australian Coat Of Arms and you will see the similarity (ie: not the kangaroo) :)

Great pics. Very candid and i reckon your eye for shooting animals is sharpening very well indeed.

Would have been a nice day at Healesville too today. That first photo of the emu is great. I've never seen the geese there before but that is funny! Koala...sleeping as always. Good job Mudder.
