With the kit lens that is exceptionaly sharp, the lighting is good, it is so sharp becuase of the shallow depth of field, nice work. Not sure if the crop should have been closer or not, it seems to work well however with the frame ending at the chest with the rest of the dog (big puppy) fading out in the back 2/3 of the photo. I like it.

Dude, you've so gotta resize to 800 pixels or under width when posting on this board... just a friendly reminder! :)

Otherwise, nice picture and cute dog!

G'day,
Really sharp, wonder whether it might be worth cropping to make it a portrait aspect to lose the blurry (happy) tail and isolate the happy face? I tried it on a jpeg I saved on the PC and it seems to really isolate that happy expression...

Burnese Mountain dog? Absolutely gorgeous... I love big cuddly dogs... And he looks so happy :-) Makes me miss my old fella...

Cheers,
Mudder

Hey there,

I like the shot, I like the framing with the wagging tail, I think it adds a sense of playfullness to the shot.

The one thing I'd focus on improving here is the blown out highlights along the nose between the eyes. You lose a lot of details there... that's all I've got.. :)
