I agree with the previous post.. although it's a nice border I don't think it works as well as a simpler border may have in this situation..
Three things, none of them shot related..
1) The image dimensions are probably a bit big for inserting into the forum ( I would have probably linked to it )
2) The image size is quite small <100k - This saves us time in downloading but it looks to me like the compression has taken an awful lot of detail out of the shot.. or possibly...
3) If it's not Jpeg compression.. was there a lot of PP sharpening done? I thnk it's the jpeg compression i'm seeing..
Back to the shot.. what kind of flower is that? It looks quite alien..

Oneputt,
The Nikon 60mm f/2.8 D 'Micro' is an excellent lens.
Nice shot, but I would have selected a plain border, a bit too busy for me.
Was this the lens on e-bay (Ex Adelaide) or through you know who...
.
Cheers,

I got it from a pro on the Coast. He was switching to Cannon as a result of some dispute with Maxwells (the Nikon Distributor in this neck of the woods).
Platinum Weaver I have struck this compression problem when converting before. What process should I follow to avoid it. Using Photshop CS.

Oneputt, I'm starting to like your macro too! Good clear vision - anything botanical will get me in!!

I like the border, no in fact, I love it!! It's very fresh and innovative. Most borders are based on real life paints, this is distinctively digital! It's like a border without a real hard defined edge, even though it has the framed line, the blurring of details from within the pic I think it works well.
What aperture was it taken at? Cos I'm seeing some black spots in there that could be telltale sign of the not so friendly bunnies.

Onyx f36, and I am hoping that those dust spots were on the lens which I have now cleaned

Certainly looks like dust bunnies to me. I agree with Onyx on the frame - I really like the way you have used the pic to form the frame - innovative
