Yet another sunset - this is the last for now, I promise

This sunset effect was assisted by smoke from a grass fire about 200 km away. I have cropped the image but no other editing was performed. The D 70 did the job perfectly for me.

Thanks Stubbsy (again)

This is a very nice shot but you are showing quite a bit of noise along the bottom 1/4 of the pic. If you shot in RAW try to PP to give a bit more black in the foreground.

Awesome pic. While nature provided the shot it was you that framed it and took it. I think this means you can take some of the credit :)

Doh,
Chris your version is far more effective!! I don't mind if you edit my stuff at all. A curves layer , any clues on how to perform this one (I do have some exp. with layers and curves adj.)

Thanks Chris.

I think your shot is fantastic but it did look a little flat and lacked the colour oomph IMO.

I quite simply (in PS) went to layers - adjustment layer - curves and locked the mid point by clicking on the diagonal line. I then played with the 1/4 point on the line and the 3/4 point by clicking and dragging until the pic look as it does. It is quite possible that I have gone a bit over the top but it is always worth a play

Keep em coming

Matty I have been doing this for a long time and I learn something new every day that’s the beauty of PP in PSCS

I always like sunset shots, and the way the sun's rays fan out from behind the clouds in this is terrific...

Nice stuff...
