Mudder - the first pic is a classic - stick in hand (looks like he/she is picking their teeth) and stick in foot.

The second pic is also great - the look says it all - ”why don’t you p@ss off and leave me alone”

The third is classic too - ”Is that a Nikon D70 I see - don’t know it could be a Canon - but hey I’m only a primate what do I know!”

Perhaps both you and woody should have ape avatars

As the official primate avatar, I feel the need to post my avatar a little larger. Taken handheld at 300mm. THis old boy was giant and intimidating. Just before this shot he was looking straight at me. Good lord I was shaking. Then he got up and pissed in the river. I was impressed that this ape had the presence of mind...beats some humans I know of. Undfortunatly I focused badly on the full body shot, but this face shot came out all right. My avatar doesn't do it justice.

They are intimidating aren't they! The male I took a few shots of today was grunting aggressively and chased the younger ones away before he sat down in front of me... If it wasn't for the VR, my shaking hands would have blurred the shots to mighty!!!!

Ps. Edited... Forgot to say it's a great shot at a very "hairy" moment...

You did get some great ones of the gorillas Mudder! I'd have to say the second is my favourite. Classic pose for this one and good that you caught it facing the crowd for a change.

Your strap definitely gave you away the second time I saw you. See you in 2 weeks for an animal fest at Werribee!

Excellent shots Mudder!

The third one is my favourite. Could this shot be the thinking persons gorilla?

Thanks for sharing

Cheers

Nice sharp pictures. When I first read the title of the thread, I thought there was going to be X-rated animal shots or something.
