I have seen a couple couple of questions about the D70 and sports. I shot these today using the Nikkor 80-200mm.

Oops one was taken with the Bigma I can't remember it but........ Well spotted mudder (says he as he slinks away to hide under the nearest rock.)

so what were your questions regarding d70 and sports oneputt?

first shot is a little too late as the horse are not directly in front of you, but sharp.
second one is a little better however it doesn't seem to be very straight. you can see the barrier is slight higher on the right. you could use a monopod/ sprirt level if you weren't using it already. plus the constrast is a little off.
but good shots.
were abouts did you take them any way? i usually work at the melbourne cup events boy it was really wet last year i tell ya.

They were taken at Courbald Park on the Sunshine Coast. Racing every Sunday 52 weeks of the year, the most utilsed track in Queensland.

Yup, have to agree that the 80-200 is ideal for sports! As others have said Oneputt that 2nd shot is terrific! I shot a Wollongong Wolves football game at Rockdale, Sydney last night. 7pm kick-off and the light was bloody awful, and this is the best I could do without flash. ISO pumped up to 800 so please excuse the noise!





Great fun shooting the aircraft as they flew low over the stadium!

ozimax yes the frame is a PS plug in. I can't exactly remember where it came from but there area zillion frame actions doing the rounds. I am sure that I have seen them on the dpreview site.

I think that action is called double matt frame as i have it as well.
