yeah guys, haven't been around for a while. combination of getting a promotion at work (meaning i actually do work now, which is a good thing ) and the weather being good (meaning that i'm out riding so much more, as well as shooting lots of photos!)

here are a few i really like and would like some other opinions on.

I like the second and third! The first seems to be lacking something, but I cannot put my finger on it.

I like how you've got the crew sitting just in frame on the second, and the wide angle perspective on the third!

Very dramatic shots! I particularly like the shadows on the wall of the first (maybe increase contrast further?) the wide angle of the second (increase saturation/contrast?). The third maybe increase brightnes/midtones?

i think all i did was fix WB and convert from raw. not sure if i even sharpened them. they were just for a website/blog i do (blog.ugzine.com if your interested) so i was a bit slack!

Good to see you back and posting some shots James, I like the last the most of these but they all have something cool or unusual about them. I agree with BT that the first could do with some more punch and the shadow brought out a little more.

I really like the perspective on No.3, how close were you to that wheel? Cool shot.

I agree with an earlier poster that the first one lacks a bit of punch. If you had some spare power in the flash, perhaps you could have stopped down a tad to underexpose the shadow more, and bring out the rider? Don't know if it would have worked in situation, but a stronger shadow would make a more dramatic image I think. I'd also be tempted to try a crop at the line where the bricks meet the concrete, may give an added sense of height.

I find the lighting in the 1st image lets it down. Not exactly sure what I'd prefer, other than something different . Interesting concept tho'..

I looked at this photo, and thought it looked like some of the buildings around Pt Adelaide. It's been a long time since I was down there though ...

The 1st and 3rd don't really have much that personally draw my attention.

#2 - great!. It's telling the story, showing the urban environment. The colour is delicious too.

i agree with the point you are making, however the situation didnt allow for this... two flashes, running at near full power (dont like cranking to full, flash duration goes too long).

i have some other shots i'll share a little later in the week. a full set for a guy that i'm shooting an interview with.

I really like photos of people doing their stuff. These fit well into this category. I like No 3 the best and admire how you actually captured it. You must have been underground. Great work. I like No 2 because of the background as well as the obvious centre image. I reckon No 1 is a clever capture of a difficult jump. It's not a dramatic photo but is a good photo of a well captured manoeuvre.
