Earlier today, one of our cats found a small dragon in the backyard. That one made a hasty escape after being released from the cat's clutches, but I set up the camera in case of finding it again. While I was wandering around the garden, one of the other cats found another one and I managed to take a few photographs. I pretty much let the dragon to its own thing which is why the backgrounds on the shots are less than ideal.

I believe it is a mountain dragon, Tympanocryptis diemensis.

And is why ours are only allowed out under supervision. They only ever get a chance to find something before they are stopped from taking it further.

Good to see a responsible cat owner

The #2 really stands out for me, good eye contact - "Don't mess with me" look, and nice dof to concentrate on the face.
