Just started going through the photos from today's shoot with Ing.

Would love to know what you think about this one.

Thanks

Edit: gstark. How many times do I have to remind members of the maximum bloody size for posting images here?

Edit: Sorry. It's fixed now

Very nice Alex, what was the light setup?

Lighting wise it's pretty cool but I think the image itself would benefit from bit more of a contrast boost and cropping off the right hand side a bit more so the end of the cloth isn't seen.

Very nice concept, but I find the RHS bit too dark, maybe a little crop or an extra hair light to the right may help :)

Thanks for the good comments.

Wayne and Yi-P: absolutely agree regarding the RHS. Have cropped it.

Wayne: I deliberately went for low contrast as it gives the image a more sensual feel.

Glen: The lighting set-up consisted of two Nikon flashes: one behind the scarf, aimed at approx. 30 deg. to the plane of the scarf. The 2nd light was directly opposite the model's face. Both lights had softboxes.

I cropped out a bit on RHS which did not really add to the image.

lots of improvement here
there is a nice dimension to this image with the pose and interaction with the material and balance between highlight and shdow
as for cropping id tend to always shoot wider so the top of the head isnt cut off then re-crop in photoshop
great to see your thinking about lighting too
