great find Bernie,

make sure you thread lightly around the nesting area, mom and dad don't like to be disturbed.

Probably a good idea not to share the location with too many people so that there isn't too many on-lookers.

Looking forward to the new born photos :D

...... the nest is about 8-10 metre's from the shore edge, and in an area that the public do not go to. There are a lot of black swans about on different waterways and are becoming an easy target for shots. I missed the last hatching, but will be about for this one.......

Just as well for you... swans will defend their nests and young vigorously.. my friend in England made the mistake of getting in too close for a shot.. the swan broke three of his fingers and dislocated his shoulder with her wing... I never would have believed it possible...
