What else do you do when you are supposed to be proof reading reports - wander around the backyard taking photos of course  LOL

We have a pair of superb fairy wrens nesting in our backyard - with 2 cats, it is a bit tricky as the nest has been constructed at ground level ... so we built fort knox around the nest and all is great 3 babies, and 2 very busy parents.

This is dad - high key as was taken in full sun with the house next door as the background ... didn't work out too bad I cleaned up the slats on the house, so clean background

Rel - I like this shot compositionally but find the high key just a fraction too harsh. I realise you had some problems to deal with and have done so in the best way you could. Hopefully it won't be long before this proud little dad will work out the best vantage points to strut his stuff for your camera!

and... I love these little guys Rel... they are too cute... but so difficult to capture cause they just wont sit still dammit...

Like the wren itself, this image is so light and fragile that it captures the spirit of the subject. Excellent!
