My first prime lens and what a blast! The DOF is razor thin, the colours and contrast are excellent and the sharpness is amazing, not to mention the bokeh.

Enjoy! its a great lens! I hardly use mine to be honest, find the 85L a better match for my camera.

Its a treat to use, makes a bad photographer like me semi decent

Don't put yourself down Kris!

I do think you're partly right though, the good quality primes are a step up in image quality from any zoom I've ever used.
