Last Sunday saw very overcast skies here in Adelaide but gave very good conditions for taking some shots at the zoo without having to worry about blowing out highlights.

Virgs - now I wish I went :(

#1, 3 and 4 for me, with # 4 the pick of the crop. The intensity in his/her face is incredible. Makes a lot of difference when the sun is concealed behind the cloud cover :)

Couldn't pick a favorite, they are all wonderful and sharp. I just love your work.

Fantastic the way the profile is outlined in the first shot - certainly looks different against a completely black background. PS. Do you go to the Zoo every fortnight or something?

The gibbon is a pearler! (Others great too, but it's the winner IMHO)

I adore the first shot - the texture in the lions' whiskers just fascinates me :)

I'm not sure about the flamingo shot- seems a little toooo dull - maybe a light curves adjustment, and then a saturation boost for gorgeous pink feathers ?? I played in CS, and it really made a difference ...

Thanks everybody, Oli, I am a member so it does not cost anything to go. Often the daughter wants to pop in for a little bit if we are driving past and as parking is also free at the back of the zoo and it is such a nice spot why not. This friday for example I will be meeting Fozzie, Tassie D and BBJ for an hour or so in th earvo there..

Love #3, the detail in the image I think is made better because of the overcast day. #4 is also a cracker!

They are all great pictures, but I prefer the last one. I think it is the expression.

Don't let Fozzie put his hand in the lion cage. He thinks they are big moggies.
