First time shooting an NBL match. The lighting in Challenge Stadium is pretty horrible. Shot manual, mostly at 1600, 1/250th, 2.8 - 40D with a Sigma 70-200.

Not being a fan of basketball, I will say however that the entertainment looks like something I would enjoy. :)

And the good bit is, they're the easiest parts of the game to shoot! :P

I'm not much of a basketball fan either, but it's good practice, and I learned a huge amount.

LOL the actions shots. I'm a girl myself so don't much go for scantily clad women pics!

Well, you never know these days :-)

Thanks - I learned a LOT there that arvo from my mate, who shoots for Gettys. Mates are very helpful.

mickeyjuice, nice action shots. I am surprised to see such sharp and colorful pictures at that ISO

Ta. It'd be fair to say that the 40D is a major improvement over the (ancient) 10D, and Lightroom does a great job of processing. (No PS used, just Lightroom.)

Shooting manual certainly helped keep things nice and predictable.

I'm not a big fan of NBL, although it looks like a very interesting league
