Good pano work. Looks like you would have had significant exposure difference between LHS and RHS - how did you handle that?

I agree that it's not the most riveting of subjects, but a good one for learning panos.

Hi John,
What settings did you use in Autostitch and how long did it take to do the job?
I find that at it's default settings the resolution is too low but when I bump it up it is very slow.

Nice job on the pano.

Leek, looks very good in full size. Did you use exposure lock?

Is there any threads here on panoramas and what is the most prefered software of choice? At the moment I've been using Panorama Factory 3.3

On examining the full sized version I noticed that the same van appears in two different places on the bridge

I had an uncle who could do that.

It is an interesting bridge though. Just goes to show that even with concrete, it is still possible to create an ugly monstrosity like that one. :)

They don't make bridges like they used to, that's for sure.

Still, it's better than the Citylink bridge in Melbourne with it's two way-out-of-proportion vertical cheesesticks.

Oh, and nice pano too. :)

cricketfan: I didn't adjust the exposure... autostitch usually does a good job of blending it all together on its own... (but now that you mention it, the RHS does seem a tad underexposed).

philipb: The only setting I've experimented with so far is Output scale and this time I set it to 100%. From 3x5Mb JPGs it created one 7.1Mb JPG (so how is that 100%?) The job took just over a minute to generate the output file...

Glen: No, didn't do that... I had the camera on Aperture and the LH & middle photos were taken at 1/320s F9 and the RHS was taken at 1/250s...

kipper: I tried to start one [url=http://forum.d70users.com/viewtopic.php?t=2122]here[/b] but was referred to an excellent tutorial site... see link in thread... I have used the Pano feature within Photoshop, but find that autostitch gives better results with little or no effort...

killakoala: It may be concrete, but the arch section is actually hollow - an intrepid young cave-clanner that I know has been inside it and took some photos... I'll try to find them and post a link...

sirhc55: yep - i was cruising around hunters hill and came across this vantage point that I hadn't seen before...

Thanks for the comments guys...
