I like the first two images, they are excellent. The first one looks the type you use for an ad; while the second has a dreamy and the tranquil mood of a cold winter evening.

The third one has a blurred background dominating the scene rather than the silhouette; while the forth one comes across to me as out of focus for there is not enough depth of field for my liking.

Thanks for the comments guys :-) they are really appreciated :)

Zaf the first and second ones I really had a clear idea about what I wanted to do and achieve and kinda see them as straight out shots I dunno how to explain, the last 2, the third in particular was just me experimenting.

I kinda like it but wanted to see how it flew with all you guys to be honest if I look at it too long it gives me a headache lol...

The fourth one is OOF yeah... if you look at the exif data its at 1/4sec it was pretty dark and I didn't have a tripod on me at the time so I guess I feel I didn't do too bad considering... but I'm gonna leave it in the car from now on. The tripod I mean.

Thanks again guys for the input and not being too hard on me lol.

I like your 'moody' style.

I keep coming back to the boat shot. It really has a feel of waiting for the storm. I like the hint of the storm in the sky.
Maybe if it had a bit more "air" around the boat it might be a little stronger. IMHO!

Thanks Matt and Mal :-)

Mal, here is the original shot uncropped, just adjusted the WB down a little from as shot to make the boat a little greener.

not really sure if the un-cropped version adds anything to the overall picture.. I do know that the swirl overlay thing lines up better in the uncropped one tho lol.
