HOT! It kind of looks like it is smiling (or I could be up way too late). :D

Nice capture. How's the D300? Loving I take it?

Nice one Mark - just wish the face was in focus (edit - maybe its my monitor?) - but I bet you are having fun with that combination :)

Very cool Mark. :)
I'm curious though about the ISO 100 - was it a conscious decision to shoot at L 1.0 (ISO 100 equiv) or do you just keep your camera set at this normally? Did you shoot any at ISO 200?

Just seeing how people are setting up their D300.

Thanks for the comments folks :D

Simon, I have been experimenting with the different ISOs to see what, if any difference, there is in the quality.

The documentation I have read suggest that the D300 and D3 will provide the best results at ISO200 and that the lesser ISOs would only be used where a slower shutter speed was required or there was too much available light.

Time will tell, but it's a lot of fun finding out :D

Cheers Mark. I thought it was a case of experimentation. Certainly seems to have worked nicely.

Haven't even looked at that yet

I must say that although the camera is similar physically to the D200 it really is a whole new ball game :D
