of the feathered variety I'm afraid.

Taken on a recent camping trip. This is the Wollondilly river in the bush somewhere near Mittagong on the road from Wombeyan Caves.

A Cocky that decided to drop in on my balcony a couple of days ago. I got up to shoo him as he really looked like he was going to come inside, then grabbed the camera instead and got 4-5 shots before he did a runner. This was the best of them.

Thanks, must always remember that, shoot first!

A livelier version of the first one. It was straight out of Camera originally.

Thats a great outcome, what did you do in PP?

Thanks!

Started with a slight curves tweak. I tend to just push it towards an S shape, 'cause I once got told to, and see how it effects the image to see how much to push it. This one is minor.

That tends to leave the foreground too dark, but really pop the sky so then I added a brightness/contrast layer and upped the brightness 20 and contrast 10. Using the Magnetic Lasso I selected the sky and deleted the B/C layer so it doesn't effect the sky. Last is a Hue/Saturation layer with a +40 bump on saturation. That's more than I'd normally use I think, but I'm not much of a PPer, never got out of the film mindset of shoot it and see how it comes back from the lab, now I am the lab!

Hope that can be of help to someone, or if anyone has any comments or suggestions to help me fumbling in the PP darkness I'm always listening!

Cheers.

Right you are... Quick touch-up with the eraser tool and no one will ever notice!!! 8)

Except for the fact that it's clearly mentioned in these posts, but you get that.
