This picture is about a training kitchen, where the cooks are hectic preparing the main course for a banquet. I found it is not easy to take good pictures without becoming an obsticle and a nuisance in a busy kitchen where the chefs are preparing food quickly to serve it at its optimun condition. I don't think this image is remarkable for its technique, but it is special to me because it captured some of the action - I hope. What do you think?

Well it works. That's the main thing. The use of DOF creates a focal point at the scene of most interest. My eyes first looked at the cooks before I glanced at the food.

The level of concentration and 'focus' on the food is the most interesting thing in this image. I don't see it as a kitchen image by itself, it doesn't encompass the kitchen surrounds enough for that. I like what you have captured for that reason.

I see it more as a human interest picture.
The intent faces all tell a story.
Well done

In this shot, the gaze of the chefs and selective focus certainly draw your eyes towards the food prep and makes you curious

As has already been said, you've nailed this one. The selective DOF drew my eye to the faces of the foreground chefs and they are all so focussed and intense on the plates that the eye flows there naturally next and there it stops to linger over the image. This is a superb example of how composition is so critical to a shot - the set up here keeps the viewer inside the frame.
Two thumbs up
