Last Minute

There was a nice sunset this evening, but I didn't get to it with the camera until most of it had disappeared.

Anyone who has seen my sunsets before will know that this is like most of them...with that dead tree always present. It's about the best foreground interest around, so I do tend to use it...

So then, a pic taken in the last few minutes of a dying sunset (a little to dramatic perhaps, but you know what I mean).

The little D50 still does ok

The D50 certainly does ok, but I think to my taste the sharpening is a little over done for the web version of this shot. That said your right the dead tree provides excellent foreground interest to the shot.

I like it but I'd prefer less foreground. My eyes keep getting drawn doen to the grass even though it's not that interesting. It also feels like the horizon is sloping down to the left, but when I look closely I think they may just be the trees, it is still a tad unsettling though.

Cheers.
