A little lens baby for some creative fun.

OK these shots aren't that creative as it's my first go, but I'm learning.. ! (to focus like a macro lens)

Shots were taken on a D3.

At first try it's pretty hard for me. You need to have both pointer fingers on either side of the lens, pulling it in or out (it's a bellow) will determine focal distance and focus. By pushing it to the side, you change the focus position from the middle so you can selective focus different areas of the frame. It's like manual focus with a normal lens, but a bit harder!

Metering is manual as it doesnt talk to the camera. However, I can put the camera in manual, select my shutter speed, and the camera will select the iso (auto iso). It seems to meter ambient light through the lens baby.

I'm going to definately try it at a wedding, as I think it'll be great for background blurring. Focus will be a challenge though.

Could be good for artistic shots of the rings, the flowers, the shoes, the couple holding hands, showing their new rings off.

solid effort considering its your first go

i'd like to see what these things are capable of after you've mastered it.

personally i find it interesting that it wont meter the lense but will work out the iso.

post up more photos as you get the hang of it, i'm really interested, haven't really seen much from this lens from any reputable sources.
