Birds of Featherdale

On Sunday I was fortunate enough to go to Featherdale Wildlife Park with Matt K & Philo. This is a great spot for photography since you can get close to many of the birds and animals. Here are my pick of the birds (see here for the animals). More images from the day can be found HERE.

Please note - this is not my normal area of photography so I'd be interested in any observations about my composition and my post processing (they've been put through my standard landscape workflow).

Thanks to ATJ, Oneputt and Big Monkey for help with the bird IDs. All shots were taken with the 28-70/f2.8 and natural light.

I think there excellent photos, my only critisism would be that you've call the Tawny Frogmouth an owl, but thats a common mistake and Im sure their used to it by now and wont be offended :)
Looks like a nice place to visit.

Peter, I think the definite stand out (or should that be fly out?) here is the Kookaburra - it's gorgeous and well captured, sharp and nicely saturated. Well done!

Peter - exactly what Geoff said. Not taking away from the other 3 images, but the Kookaburra is a real stand out.
